Angus Gunn visits Saint Goal Participants

time Thu 20 Dec Saints Foundation

Celebrations all round for our Saints Goal participants as they lost a combined 45.9kg over the 12-week programme.

Saints Goal looks to change the long-term health habits of men over the age of 35 who have a waistline of more than 36 inches. Our staff work on changing our participants’ lifestyle through education and exercise in a 12-week programme, and to put in place a personal activity plan to work on once the course has finished.

For their end-of-term party, Angus Gunn was on hand to present medals, certificates and pose for photos, much to the enjoyment of our participants.

Angus also chatted about his Saints career so far along with his past experiences in the footballing world.

One of our biggest losers was Dave Hills. During his time at Saints Goal, Dave lost 10.6kgs along with reducing his resting heart rate by more than 30%.

Speaking about his time with us, he said: “I’m feeling very sad that it is ending. It’s been great to be part of a group that are all in the same boat trying to achieve the same thing. The comradery is superb, that’s what makes it worthwhile.”
