Harrison Reed registered an assist as loan club Blackburn Rovers were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Birmingham City in the Championship.

Reed’s free-kick delivery saw Danny Graham head home his ninth goal of the season, before Adam Armstrong doubled their advantage a minute into the second-half. Reed was close to extending that advantage but for a fine save from Lee Camp.

But the visitors showed their character and pulled a goal back when Craig Gardner slammed a penalty home after David Raya had brought down Maxime Colin.

Just two minutes later they were level when Lukas Jutkiewicz’s low cross was finished by Che Adams from close range.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Josh Sims also got an assist as he played 86 minutes of Reading’s 1-1 draw with Rotherham United before being replaced by Danny Loader.

Sims neat ball into the box set up Sam Baldock to put the managerless Royals ahead inside the opening ten minutes, before a late goal from Joe Mattock meant a share of the spoils.

Jake Hesketh was in action for Burton Albion in League One, played 53 minutes of their 1-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town.

In Scotland, Alfie Jones played 76 minutes as St Mirren suffered a 2-1 defeat against Aberdeen. Goals from Stevie May and Sam Cosgrove either side of Cameron MacPherson’s effort mean Oran Kearney’s men have now recorded one win in their last 17 matches.

In Spain, Sofiane Boufal went head-to-head with Guido Carrillo as Celta Vigo hosted Leganes in La Liga. Boufal played 71 minutes before being replaced by Pione Sisto, while Carrillo was replaced by Javier Eraso nine minutes later.

Jordy Clasie played 45 minutes as Feyenoord fell to a 2-0 home defeat against Fortuna Sittard in Dutch Eredivise.
