It promises to be a fun-filled afternoon for all the family! Don't miss Southampton Football Club's first One March open day, which takes place this Thursday, at St Mary’s Stadium.
The free event, in the middle of half-term, runs from midday until 5pm and features a host of attractions, including your opportunity to have a photo taken with the FA Cup, as well as meet some surprise special guests.
The event is being held in collaboration with the Saints Disabled Supporters Association and Saints Foundation, and is designed to introduce members of the public and Saints fans to the club’s One March equality work and showcase the diverse activities and services available in the local community.
It also provides a fantastic platform for the SDSA to raise awareness and funds for their future work.
Attractions on the day will include:
• Special guests appearing throughout
• Have your picture taken with the FA Cup
• See the original, open-top 1976 FA Cup bus
• A penalty shootout with Saints Foundation
• The chance to speak with, and learn from, more than 30 community groups based around the city
• Face painters
• A bouncy castle
• A caricaturist
Entry is free of charge, and local disabled organisations are actively encouraged to attend as visitors, along with individuals and families. There will be routine security checks in place when entering the stadium so don’t be alarmed.
If you require Blue Badge car parking, which is limited in availability, please contact [email protected]. Due to the limited parking, we would recommend making alternative parking arrangements and remind you that this is not a match day and, therefore, a tow-away zone is not in operation.
Saints Disabled Supporters Association (SDSA)
The SDSA is primarily a self-funding independent association for supporters of Southampton Football Club, but welcomes any supporter who wishes to join. The SDSA works with the club to look at ways to improve the experience for Saints fans with disabilities.
