Four Saints in international action

Four of Southampton's international representatives are in action - three against one another - during today’s all-European match-ups.

Shane Long’s Republic of Ireland (19:45pm BST) will face a double helping of Danish delight as Pierre Emile-Højbjerg and Jannik Vestergaard travel to Dublin in the UEFA Nations League.

The Scandinavian visitors, who beat Wales 2-0 in their opener, are considered narrow favourites, but Martin O’Neill’s side have in fact won two of their last four meetings with Denmark.

Star man Christian Eriksen is injured, a boost for the hosts given his creative influence, meanwhile, Ireland will be without captain Seamus Coleman.

Elsewhere, Moi Elyounoussi’s Norway host Slovenia (5pm BST), at the Ullevaal Stadion.

Norway have had mixed joy in UEFA Nations League action thus far, with victory over Cyprus, followed by narrow defeat to Bulgaria - who have won both their opening ties. A convincing win today, however, could well propel Norway to the top of the group.
