Young professional Pascal Kpohomouh has earned his first call-up for England Under-18s.

The 17-year-old defender, who signed his first pro deal only last week, will take part in a three-team tournament at St George’s Park over the upcoming international break.

Born in Guinea, Kpohomouh grew up in Manchester and has previously represented England at Under-16 level.

The young Lions will face Sweden on Thursday 11th October and Czech Republic on Monday 15th October at The FA’s national football centre in Burton.

Described by Southampton Academy manager Matt Hale as “a strong centre-back who is comfortable on the ball and competes physically”, Kpohomouh will be eager to replicate his impressive recent form on the international stage.
