Together with Electronic Arts, the Premier League has today announced the inaugural ePremier League tournament, offering UK-based players the chance to compete for and represent Saints for the very first time in competitive gaming.

All 20 Premier League clubs are set to be represented in the tournament, giving players the chance to live their dream of winning a title for their favourite club.

The tournament – played out on EA SPORTS FIFA 19 - kicks off in January 2019 and players will compete for three months across three rounds: online qualification, the live club play-offs to decide who will wear our colours at the ePL Final and the eventual live two-day showpiece event itself.

The playoff round will see 32 gamers reduced to two, allowing two FIFA 19 competitors – one per platform (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) –  to advance to the Finals. Registrations for the tournament will open in December.

Key dates

4 November 2019: Registration opens
2-22 December 2019: Online Qualification
February 2020: Club playoffs
27-28 March 2020: ePremier League finals

The ePL Final will be played in London on March 27-28, 2020 and broadcast live on Sky Sports and Premier League social media channels.

Performing well in the ePL will also earn players the bonus of valuable season-long EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Points used to qualify for the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series Playoffs.

Competitors intending to participate in the ePL who want to also be eligible for these points will need to register on FUTChampions.com by Oct 31, 2019, or between 16-31 January 2020, and be FUT Champions Verified.

Further details of the campaign – organised by Gfinity PLC - including registration information will be released in the coming months. Think you have what it takes? For more, visit www.premierleague.com/epl.
