Southampton’s away Premier League meeting with Manchester City has now been given a new date.

Mark Hughes’s men were originally due to visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 3rd November.

However, after Manchester City progressed past Oxford United in the Carabao Cup to reach the fourth round, the game will now take place on Sunday 4th November at 3pm.

That is because City visit Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday 29th October, meaning any cup clash that week would need to be held on Thursday 1st November, which would, in turn, push that weekend's league fixture back a day.

Ticket information for this fixture will follow in due course.
