After signing his first professional contract this week, young defender Pascal Kpohomouh has been giving an insight into his first couple of months with Southampton's Under-18s squad, after completing a summer switch from Manchester City.
Talking about the weekend's win over Brighton, and the bond he's developed with his new teammates, the 17-year-old discusses how he's enjoying life on the south coast, and his ambitions for the remainder of the season.
"Playing with the Under-18s is good," the youngster began. "The win at the weekend was a long timing coming.
"We've been unlucky up until now, performances have been good. We're on our way now, the win over Brighton was important.
"We need to get our heads down now and stick together as a team, be united, and I'm confident we'll do well this season.
"We're bonding together well. The coaches have supported me, and since I've come into the team, I feel like we're more organised and communicating better. That's part of my role.
"For me, stay playing regular football for the Under-18s is the aim. Football is unpredictable, so I'll keep working hard and wait for an opportunity."
