Get the lowdown on the young Saints' weekend opponents, as Staplewood Campus prepares to host Brighton and Hove Albion...
Southampton U18s vs Brighton U18s
U18 Premier League
Saturday 22nd September, 11:00am BST
A frustrating start to the 2018/19 season continued for Paul Hardyman's youngsters against Arsenal last week, after narrowly missing out on a share of the spoils.
It's not been for the want of trying, though, with Saints more than matching their London counterparts in last weekend's encounter, but were unlucky to eventually be edged out by a single goal.
Tomorrow's visitors, comparatively, have two wins under their belt, having seen off Norwich and Leicester - although both victories have come at home.
Brighton sit mid-table after their five opening ties, while Saints lie in tenth, but will be confident that, after last week's showing, a first victory is just around the corner.
Saints were twice victors in last year's meetings with the Seagulls, registering a 1-0 win at home and a 3-1 triumph on the road.
Harlem Hale's solo effort was decisive at Staplewood, while Enzo Robise (2) and Sean Brennan were on target in the reverse fixture at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre.

"We look more structured and disciplined in our play against Arsenal," Hardyman explained.
"Saturday was a strong performance against a good Arsenal side. We were unlucky with the result.
"We've worked on our shape a lot and it has looked a lot better.
"We've had a tough start, in terms of playing Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal in the first few games.
"This weekend is a game I'd like to think we can stamp our authority on. We'll give it a really good go, as always.
"We're still moulding these young players into a team, and I think once that first win arrives, there will be plenty more to follow."
