The Under-23s have now started their campaign with five wins and two draws across all competitions.
Hampshire Senior Cup campaign begins
Southampton Under-23s will be back in action on Tuesday night, as they visit Christchurch in the opening round of this year’s Hampshire Senior Cup.

Saints’ women prepare for next FA Cup clash
Southampton’s women’s side are back in action next Sunday, as they host New Milton in the second qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup.
Saints beat Swindon Spitfires 6-0 in the first stage, and will be hopeful of progressing further, having earned a confidence-boosting 11-0 victory against Newbury in their opening match of the South Region Women’s Football League Premier Division at the weekend.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s team will host New Milton at AFC Totton’s Testwood Stadium, on Sunday 23rd September, at 2pm BST. Tickets are £2 for adults and free for concessions.
Under-18s lose out narrowly
Southampton Under-18s turned in an excellent performance away to Arsenal on Saturday morning in the Under-18 Premier League, but suffered a cruel 1-0 defeat.
A goal late in the first half gave the Gunners the points, but Paul Hardyman’s youngsters could reflect on a very positive display, giving them something to build on when they host Brighton next Saturday.
