Southampton Football Club is delighted to unveil a fantastic new dining experience on matchdays – the Gasworks Bar & Kitchen.

The 96-seat restaurant replaces the Virgin Media Fan Hub, in the Kingsland Stand at St Mary’s, and will launch at Monday’s south coast showdown with Brighton in a special event open to Season Ticket holders.

With a two-course inclusive menu, featuring a range of mains and desserts, as well as a selection of sharing boards and a wide variety of sides, the Gasworks represents an exciting addition for supporters who are looking for more than the classic concourse offerings.

The Gasworks Bar & Restaurant opens soon

As well as a gastro-style restaurant, it also features a separate, stylish bar area that can accommodate approximately 100 people, providing an ideal place to meet fellow Saints fans for a drink before heading in for the big game.

Sports on all TV’s are brought to fans by Virgin Media, meaning you can keep right up-to-date with the rest of the day’s action.

What’s more, the Gasworks will not just be open in the two hours prior to kick-off, but also for an hour-and-a-half after each match – or 11pm for evening games – giving supporters the opportunity to relax after the final whistle with friends or family, while enjoying a meal or just a drink.

The name of the restaurant is inspired by the former gasworks site upon which St Mary’s was built, with a major refurbishment project having taken place to upgrade the Virgin Media Fan Hub over the summer.

Supporters who wish to eat will be able to book a table in advance, as soon as tickets for each match go on sale, while a limited number of seats will be kept aside for walk-ins. No booking will be required for drinks in the bar area.

Season Ticket holders have an exclusive chance to get a first taste of the restaurant

The Gasworks, which is open to all fans, also boasts an outdoor ‘garden’ area that will increase the restaurant’s capacity in good weather.

For supporters wishing to eat, the club recommends booking in advance, while it also advises fans who are visiting for drinks to arrive early in order to avoid disappointment, as space is limited. Please note, The Gasworks will be closed at Half Time at all matches.

Season Ticket holders can enter our competition to win one of 25 pairs of exclusive tickets for a free meal at Monday’s launch event, becoming the first fans to try the Gasworks out.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is fill in the entry form below ahead of the closing date at midday on Friday.

The bar area will also be open to all supporters for walk-ins on Monday night, with space for up to 100 fans.

From the home game against Chelsea, on Sunday 7th October, the Gasworks will be available for all fans to book, with tables available to reserve via from 9am this Thursday, when the match goes on general sale.
