Southampton Football Club has introduced some new parking arrangements to improve the matchday experience for disabled supporters, following consultation with fans this week.
The club met with supporters on Monday to discuss the challenges that they face when attending games at St Mary’s, especially in light of additional restrictions being brought in around the stadium this season, and it has been keen to act on this feedback as quickly as possible.
In the first instance, a second park-and-ride location will operate for the next two home fixtures, against Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Blue Badge holders, supporters who are registered with the club as disabled, or fans who feel the service would benefit them will now be able to use the following locations:
• Triangle Car Park, Platform Road, SO14 2HJ
• Ageas Bowl, Botley Road, West End, SO30 3XH
For more information, or to book a space, please email [email protected] and include your name, telephone number and supporter number. Our team will then respond to you.
The club is also in the process of exploring longer-term options for supporters, and remains keen to hear of any additional feedback from fans via the above address.
