Southampton boss Mark Hughes is our cover star when the matchday programme returns with a brand-new look for tomorrow’s Premier League opener against Burnley.

Supporters can get to know the manager on a deeper level, as he offers a rare insight into his life away from football, what shaped his approach to management and why his character transforms on matchday.

Elsewhere, our extended history section includes a tribute to Cliff Huxford from club historian David Bull, while there are eight pages of quizzes and games specifically designed for junior supporters, who have plenty to keep them occupied in the lead up to kick-off and at half time – just don’t forget a pen to fill in the answers!

Other new features include 20 questions with teenage striker Michael Obafemi, as well as the opportunity for supporters to learn more about the team behind the team, as we interview various members of staff who play a key role in the team’s performance behind the scenes.

Supporters can enjoy a host of new features in SAINTS this season

There is the traditional coverage of our opponents, including some unique tactical insight from Bleacher Report writer Sam Tighe, as well as the usual columns from Hughes, skipper Steven Davis and Saints legend Franny Benali.

Pick up your matchday programme from one of the numerous sellers outside St Mary’s and inside the stadium concourse, with 84 pages of original features up for grabs for just £4.

It is also available to buy online, where back issues will be on sale throughout the season should you ever miss out on matchday, along with the option to buy a season-long subscription for a discounted price.

Our newly-launched website for online sales is saintsprogrammes.co.uk.
