Southampton Football Club can confirm midfielder Jordy Clasie has moved to Feyenoord on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old returns to his former club, from where he joined Saints in 2015, as they look to mount another strong challenge in the Dutch top flight.

Clasie, who spent last season on loan at Club Brugge, in Belgium, has made 49 appearances since arriving at St Mary’s, scoring twice.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Jordy well for the season ahead.
