Bednarek named in Poland's World Cup squad

Southampton defender Jan Bednarek has been named in Poland's final 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia this summer.

Poland have been drawn in Group H at the finals, where they face Senegal, Colombia and Japan.

Ahead of the tournament, Bednarek and co. will face Chile, on June 8th, and Lithuania on June 12th in their final warm-up games.

Adam Nawałka’s men open with a game against Senegal on 19th June at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow.

Bednarek becomes the fourth and final Saints player to be called up to the World Cup alongside Maya Yoshida (Japan), Cédric (Portugal) and Dušan Tadić (Serbia).
