Teenage midfielder Kornelius Hansen has completed the signing of his first professional contract at Southampton Football Club.

The 17-year-old Norwegian youth international has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at St Mary's until June 2020.

Calm and composed on the ball, with an eye for goal and a penchant for an acrobatic celebration, the youngster has found the net three times for Craig Fleming's Under-18s this term.

Hansen has also made a handful of appearances for Norway's youth setup, and is excited about his future and the opportunity to progress on the south coast.

It's a big step up, joining a club like southampton. Maybe one day i'll play for the first team!

"My season's highlight was scoring against Man City, I'm always excited to score goals, for my club or the national team.

"I'm learning how the football is in England, it's very different to home. But I need to keep working hard and maybe one day I'll play for the first team!"
