Mark Hughes has confirmed that he has no new injury concerns to manage ahead of Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final meeting with Chelsea at Wembley.
The Welshman however admitted that some changes to his side are a possibility for a second encounter with the Blues in the space of a week.
The key for Hughes is that his side head to the capital in the best physical condition following a quick turnaround from Thursday’s draw with Leicester City in the Premier League.
“We can freshen up our group, which to be honest we probably need to,” he said. “If we do that and I see something that might help us going forwards then we’ll have taken something from the game ahead of Bournemouth.
“(Leicester) was a difficult game for us and we need to make sure that the physicality and athleticism is there against the top teams. We won’t be making radical changes, but we need to use our resources in the best way we can.
“As far as I’m aware, we’re okay fitness-wise. There was nothing significant told to me after Leicester but we’ll get the full picture after training.
“We are trying to build some momentum and an FA Cup semi-final could be good for us with that in mind.”
