Saints' Scholars visit Foundation Primary Stars schools

By SFC Media time Wed 28 Mar Saints Foundation

14 Saints Scholars are visiting our Premier League Primary Stars schools, spending time getting involved in the programme through different PE and literacy lessons as part of a new initiative between the Club and the Foundation.

Several of our Primary Stars schools have been the lucky beneficiaries of visits from Southampton Football Club’s aspiring young players who study with the club, alongside their professional football development.

These young stars from the renowned Saints Academy have been visiting local schools to get involved in a variety of different PE and literacy activities as part of the wider Premier League Primary Stars programme.

Getting involved in PE lessons through coaching, refereeing or playing, and engaging with reading activities in the classroom, has provided the youngsters with valuable opportunities to form a closer bond with the community they represent through Southampton Football Club.

As well as providing positive opportunities for the Scholars, it also delivers a genuine form of inspiration for pupils in our Primary Stars schools, enabling them to interact with players who many of them may grow up to idolise in the future.

Saints Foundation would like to thank Jonathan Afolabi, Javen Siu, Alex Cull, Harry Hamblin, Ollie Gardner, Kieran Freeman, Jamie Bradley-Green, Christoph Klarer, Jake Vokins, Michael Obafemi, Adam Parkes, Harrison Davis, Harlem Hale and Will Smallbone for their time, as well as Southampton Football Club and the Saints Academy for their support.
