Matt Targett enjoyed another successful weekend with loan club Fulham, playing the duration of their 2-1 win over promotion rivals Derby County at Pride Park.

Aleksandar Mitrovic took his personal tally to three goals in as many games as the west London club made it 10 wins in 13 games to leapfrog their hosts into fourth spot.

The on-loan Newcastle striker’s early effort was followed up by Ryan Sessegnon’s strike from an angle, before Tom Huddlestone gave Gary Rowett’s side hope.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Sam Gallagher played the full 90 minutes but could not help Birmingham City arrest a run of five consecutive Championship defeats.

Goals from Joe Lolley and Matty Cash secured a 2-1 success for Nottingham Forest, with Michael Morrison’s late header for the Blues proving little consolation.

It was to be Steve Cotterill’s last game in charge at St Andrew’s, with former Saints defender Garry Monk replacing him alongside a backroom staff which also includes James Beattie.

In Belgium, Jordy Clasie completed 68 minutes as Club Brugge emerged 2-1 winners over K.V. Kortrijk.

Goals from Abdoulay Diaby and Anthony Limbombe were punctuated by a Jovan Stojanović to ensure a home success.
