Southampton FC is calling on all remaining interested teams to submit their entry for The Southampton Cup 2018 by Thursday 8th February.
The five-day international youth tournament, which is being hosted in the city and surrounding area, will involve boys’ and girls’ teams from around the globe, featuring Under-11, Under-12, Under-13, Under-14 and Under-16 categories, with sides from Sweden, Thailand and USA already signed up.
Following on from the inaugural event in 2017, the latest edition of The Southampton Cup will get under way on Tuesday 31st July, with teams playing five games over the five-day competition period.
The tournament will conclude with a celebration event at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday 4th August.
As well as the international youth tournament, Saints will also be running a grassroots tournament in Southampton, which will allow for Under-7 to Under-10 boys’ and Under-9 to Under-13 girls’ teams from the local area to be part of the event. A separate registration form and details for this event will be released very shortly.
We are urging all remaining teams wishing to take part in The Southampton Cup International Youth Tournament to complete an entry form by Thursday 8th February to ensure they don’t miss out on what will be a fantastic festival of football.
