Sam Gallagher was on target again for loan club Birmingham City, as they drew 1-1 away at Preston North End in the Championship.

Blues dominated proceedings after responding to Ben Davies’ goal, with Gallagher netting his sixth of the season in the 63rd minute.

Jacques Maghoma intense pressing saw him challenge Paul Huntington, and the ball fell loose with keeper Chris Maxwell out of goal leaving the Saints forward to calmly sidefoot home from 18 yards.

Elsewhere in the Championship, there was disappointment for Harrison Reed as Norwich City fell to their first league defeat in five games.

Reed played 59 minutes of the contest before being replaced by Wes Hoolahan. An early goal from James Wilson and a second-half strike from Clayton Donaldson secured all three points, despite Ivan Pinto’s header giving the hosts hope.

In Scotland, Harry Lewis kept a clean sheet to help Dundee United progress past Alloa Athletic and reach the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Goals either side of half-time from Mark Durnan and Emil Lyng earned a 2-0 win for the visitors.

Jordy Clasie helped Club Brugge to a 2-2 draw with Royal Antwerp, assisting Ruud Vormer in stoppage time to level things up after Ivan Tomečak had given them hope just one minute earlier.

Marcus Barnes was not involved for Yeovil Town after suffering an ankle injury which will rule him out for up to six weeks.
