Mauricio Pellegrino's men may receive a welcome lift ahead of this weekend's Watford clash, after Saints' defensive reserves had been recently depleted by a series of untimely injuries.
Centre-half Wesley Hoedt and full-back Cédric have both returned to training this week, although the manager will take a subsequent view on whether each are fit enough to feature on Saturday.
Disappointingly, Charlie Austin remains sidelined, but Pellegrino has suggested that the club are monitoring potential reinforcements in the current January window.
He said: "All of them have been training today. Not 100 per cent but tomorrow I think they will be a part of the main group in training. After we will decide.
"One thing is their medical condition and another is their football condition. We have to analyse tomorrow. But the good news is all of them could be ready.
"It is one possibility, obviously Jan [Bednarek] has been training well. He has been getting better, but he had to play out of position [against Fulham]. Jan is a guy that is always focussed, but he is really young, he manages the principle well.
"Charlie will be out for a long period of time, but we have to be optimistic because we're working on a couple of targets."
