Southampton Football Club is pleased to announce that teams from around the world have signed up for the next edition of The Southampton Cup.
The five-day international youth tournament, which is being hosted in the city and surrounding area, will involve boys’ and girls’ teams from around the globe, featuring Under-11, Under-12, Under-13, Under-14 and Under-16 categories, with sides from Sweden, Thailand and USA already signed up.
Following on from the inaugural event in 2017, the latest edition of The Southampton Cup will get under way on Tuesday 31st July, with teams playing five games over the five-day competition period. The tournament will conclude with a celebration event at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday 4th August.
As well as the international youth tournament, Saints will also be running a grassroots Community Tournament as part of the event, which will allow for Under-7 to Under-10 boys’ and Under-9 to Under-13 girls’ teams from the local area to be part of The Southampton Cup. A separate registration form and details for the Community Tournament will be released later this month.
We are urging all remaining teams wishing to take part in The Southampton Cup International Youth Tournament to complete an entry form as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss out on what will be a fantastic festival of football.
