Southampton’s young loanees enjoyed a successful Boxing Day for their respective clubs, with all four players involved securing league wins.

Dundee United kept up the pressure on St Mirren at the summit of the Scottish Championship table with a 2-0 victory over Livingston, including a consecutive clean sheet for Saints stopper Harry Lewis. In the process, the 20-year-old notched his seventh league shutout of the season.

In Belgium, Jordy Clasie was a 46th minute substitute in Club Brugge’s 4-2 win over Royal Excel Mouscron. The victory extended Brugge’s lead to 11 points at the helm of the First Division A standings.

Elsewhere, Harrison Reed’s Norwich City scored a goal in each half to keep bottom club Birmingham rooted to the foot of the Championship. The midfielder replaced James Maddison in the 80th minute, as the Canaries climbed to 15th.

Striker Olufela Olomola meanwhile came off the bench two minutes from time as second-half strikes from Omar Sowunmi and Jordan Green secured Yeovil a 2-0 victory over Cheltenham.
