Charlie Austin has been handed a three-match ban by the Football Association after being charged with violent conduct.
The striker was involved in an incident not seen by the match officials, but which was reviewable by video, during yesterday's 1-1 home draw with Huddersfield.
Austin accepted the charge, but argued the suspension was excessive. This, however, was rejected by an Independent Regulatory Commission.
It means the forward will be unavailable for the trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, as well as the home game against Crystal Palace on January 2nd.
