Midfielder Armani Little has been previewing Southampton's trip to the Welsh capital, as the Under-23s go in search of their first points of this season's Premier League Cup competition.
The 20-year-old was sidelined with injury when Saints lifted the previous version of the competition, at St Mary's, in 2015, but is intent on challenging for the title once more, starting with this afternoon's Cardiff clash.
"We've got to go in to the Cardiff game looking for three points," Little began.
"The aim is to top the group and put ourselves in a good position for the later rounds. We don't know too much about Cardiff's setup or game plan yet, but we'll have a full briefing before the game.
"Personally, I'm just looking to play all the time and play well, that's all you can ask for. 90 minutes is key to development at this level and I want to progress.
"Building from Monday, the boys applied themselves and reacted well, but today is about getting a result."
