Dušan Tadić felt Southampton merited more from their display against Swansea City on the opening day.

A dominant display from Mauricio Pellegrino’s men was not rewarded with a victory despite a plethora of chances as Saints had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Tadić reflected: “We expect to win this game and when you watch everything I think we deserved to score goals but we missed a lot of chances.

“If you score an open goal, it would have been easier and it is a totally different game.

“But we need to keep going and the next game is against West Ham, where we will try to win.

“There is a lot of positive things, we just missed scoring a goal from our chances.”
