Reed makes Norwich City loan move

Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed has joined Norwich City on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old links up with the Championship club ahead of the 2017/18 campaign and will look to help the Canaries challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

Reed signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal with Saints last December, and the move to Carrow Road will give him the opportunity to continue his development by gaining additional playing time.

Vice Chairman (Football) Les Reed said: “Harry has developed steadily, coming through the Academy ranks to become part of our first-team squad.

“This is an ideal opportunity for him to take the next step in his progression, at a strong Championship club who have ambitions to be competing at the top end of the league.

“Both Harry and the club believe the experience he will gain with Norwich will help him improve even further. Throughout his loan we will be monitoring his performances and we will be in regular dialogue with the staff at Norwich. We look forward to welcoming him back at the end of the season."
