We take a look back at the top ten photos from Southampton's Instagram account during the 2016/17 season.

At number ten is a tremendous celebration shot of Jack Stephens and Maya Yoshida, after the latter's goal in the 3-1 home win over Crystal Palace.

At nine, it's a memorable celebration shot after Shane Long's late winner in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final at Anfield. Oriol Romeu summing up how we all felt!

Manolo Gabbiadini's knee-slide after netting a stunning second goal in the 4-0 win at Sunderland takes the number-eight spot on the list.

Virgil van Dijk's celebration after setting Saints on the way to a famous 2-1 home win over Inter comes in at number seven.

It was a painful moment, but the pride felt by everyone at the end of our EFL Cup final defeat meant this shot came in at number six.

Given how high the anticipation was ahead of the EFL Cup final, our scene set photo of Wembley on the morning of the game garnered a huge amount of likes and comes in at number five.

Number four on the list is Manolo Gabbiadini announcing himself at Saints with a goal against West Ham on his debut.

Excitement about the Italian was high even before that moment, with his signing photo coming in at number three.

After an electric start to life at Southampton, our followers couldn't get enough of the Gabbiadini shots, with this celebration from the 4-3 win at Watford coming in as our second most popular post.

And our most popular Instagram photo from the 2016/17 season, receiving more than 12,000 likes, was this shot from inside the Anfield dressing room after Saints booked a place in the EFL Cup final.
