Southampton youngster Jake Vokins and England Under-17s have booked their place in the European Championship semi-finals.

The Young Lions saw off the Republic of Ireland 1-0 to progress to the final four of the competition and also rubber-stamp their qualification for the 2017 World Cup in India.

Manchester City's Jadon Sancho scored the match-winning goal after just 13 minutes in Croatia, during which Vokins was an unused substitute.

England now face a semi-final tie with Turkey on Tuesday.

Steve Cooper's men have now won all ten of their games in the 2016/17 competition, as they continue to hunt out their third European title.
