Dušan Tadić has reiterated a collective desire to end the season strongly, ahead of this weekend’s clash against Manchester City at St Mary’s.

Saints go in search of a third straight victory after successes against Crystal Palace and, most recently, West Bromwich Albion.

And the diminutive playmaker says there is no reason why they can’t do just that against Pep Guardiola’s men.

“It’s a very important game for us. We’re in a good moment and they have a very good team, a good coach and how they play is very good,” Tadić said.

“But we believe in our skills, our qualities and we hope everything will be fine.

“When you win games and you get points, we get extra confidence and we’re happy we’re in a good moment but that’s it and we will see what happens.

“It’s very important because we are going up and we need to finish with a strong season. We’re in a good way, we just need to keep doing the same things and it won’t be a problem.”
