Claude Puel says Southampton will need to be wary of Leicester City’s threat on the counter attack when the teams meet at St Mary’s on Sunday.
The Premier League champions haven’t won a top-flight game away from home this season, but can draw level with Saints in the table if they win.
Puel is in no doubt that both teams badly want the points, and says his side must continue to show the right attitude if they are to end a run of four consecutive league defeats.
“It’s two teams with difficulties in the Premier League, in the same situation,” said the Southampton boss at his pre-match press conference.
"We want a good result and the points. It’s important to have good concentration for this.
"It will be a difficult game against a strong team. They will want to counter attack against us. We know this game. It’s a physical game also and it’s important to analyse them well, have good concentration and the right attitude, like the last three games – Liverpool, Burnley and Norwich.
"The attitude was good and it’s important to see this against Leicester."
Puel added: “The last three games we produced good work.
"Against Burnley, we produced 14 or 15 chances to score, and there were just one or two for them, and we lost this game.
"It’s important for us to continue this good play, but also to be clinical, and this at the moment we are lacking that and it’s important to find this."
