Opposition View: Hapoel Be'er Sheva

Hapoel Be’er Sheva boss Barak Bakhar says he is expecting ‘no surprises’ when his side visit St Mary’s for the decisive Europa League fixture.

The Israeli outfit could go through to the knockout stages of the competition with a victory or a score draw.

And having experienced big European occasions before, Bakhar is focused on the task at hand.

Bakhar said: “We’re going to play a good team but we’re here to focus on ourselves.

“I don’t think at this level there are many surprises. We have played each other before and now we are preparing to face each other again so each team knows what each other is about.

“We know we need to score so we are planning with that in mind.

“We played at Celtic and Olympiakos and they were both big games with a special atmosphere.

“The league games are not so easy like they seem. We make them look easy.

“The European games are obviously harder, we have flights etc, but we have a backroom staff who are working on it and we plan to win the game and continue on.

“In every game you ask who is the favourite and we are playing a strong team here and we try and do our best to get past them.”
