Steven Davis is hoping for another special occasion at St Mary’s as they bid to qualify for the knockout phase of the UEFA Europa League.
Victories over Sparta Praha and Internazionale in front of a vociferous home crowd have whet the appetite for the pivotal fixture in Group K against Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
And Davis is confident that the abundance of experience in the dressing room can play a major factor.
“We’ve worked hard to get ourselves in this position to go out and play European football,” Davis said.
“It’s important we go and have another great night at St Mary’s like we did last time out against Internazionale
“They’re great occasions to play in. We’ve learnt from each game so far and tomorrow is going to be about game management and using that experience to the best of our ability.
“We’ve got enough players within the team that have played at that level and the younger players are gaining that experience as well.
“We know we have enough in that dressing room to go and get a result.”
