Sam Gallagher helped to earn Blackburn Rovers a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Kasey Palmer had fired the visitors in front early on, but Michael Hefele brought Gallagher down inside the box on 34 minutes.

Danny Graham converted from the spot for his fifth goal of the season to level things up and earn Owen Coyle’s men a share of the spoils.

Elsewhere, there was FA Cup success for Dominic Gape as he played 73 minutes of Wycombe Wanderers’ superb 5-0 victory over League One side Chesterfield.

Scott Kashket’s hat-trick and goals from Paul Hayes and Anthony Stewart saw the Chairboys book their place in the third round, with their hosts reduced to ten men just after the hour mark when Jon Nolan went in late on Gape.

The result made it five straight wins in all competitions for Gareth Ainsworth’s men and they will hope to build on their success in the competition last year when they took Aston Villa to a replay.

In Spain, there was also success for Paulo Gazzaniga as he kept a clean sheet in Rayo Vallecano’s 2-0 win over Alcorcón in Segunda División.

Second-half strikes from Javi Guerra and Franco Cristaldo were enough for victory for the hosts, who are now 16th in the table.
