Claude Puel has confirmed that Shane Long will be ruled out for the Premier League clash against Manchester City.
Long was replaced early in the second-half on Thursday night after pulling up with a hamstring problem in a race for the ball with Internazionale defender Miranda.
In addition to that, late assessments will also be made on this fitness of the full-backs, who all missed the trip to San Siro.
Puel said: “Shane Long will be out with his hamstring injury and perhaps also Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett but we will see this today as well as Cedric.
“It’s difficult and it’s a problem with all these games for McQueen, who is a young player, and Martina to play all the time.
“You can see now the first injury and you can understand why we change all the team all the time to preserve the bodies of the players and keep a good physical level.
“Every time we want fresh players and this is very important for the future.”
