Gape joins Wycombe on loan

By SFC Media time Wed 31 Aug Club

Southampton Football Club can confirm midfielder Dominic Gape has joined League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers on loan.

The midfielder, who was captain of Martin Hunter’s development side at Saints last season, makes the move to Adams Park on a temporary deal until 3rd January.

21-year-old Gape follows in the footsteps of defender Jason McCarthy, who enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell with Gareth Ainsworth’s side last season.

Wycombe currently sit 19th in League 2, with five points from their opening five matches. Gape could make his debut for the Chairboys on Saturday, when they travel to Luton Town.
