SAINTS – the club’s official matchday magazine – has been given a makeover ahead of the new season and it’s packed with exclusive content from the heart of the club.
After taking on feedback from the club’s supporters, the magazine has returned to a smaller format, but remains formed of 84 pages that bring you a host of interviews and previews for this Saturday’s game.
Among the new regular features included in the magazine, are a column written by Southampton legend Franny Benali, tactical insight on the day’s opponents by Sam Tighe from Bleacher Report and a series of Q & As with both first team and academy players.
A FREE A3 sized poster will also be inside all 19 Premier League issues, thanks to the design from @MinimalistFooty, who have depicted Claude Puel in the first illustration of the season.
Those add to the existing feature interviews with first team players, notes from both the manager and first-team captain, and all of the latest reports from each level of football at the club from Under-18s upwards.
There’s also the latest news from Saints Foundation, behind-the-scenes photos and our new fan feature titled ‘Firsts’.
Inside this weekend’s edition of SAINTS there are a couple of extra features to look out for too, with this issue also celebrating 15 years of St Mary’s Stadium. We’ve put together a collection of the posts we received on social media using #SMS15.
What’s more, with Watford the opponents this weekend, it was fitting that we caught up with former Saints striker Brett Ormerod, who recalled the FA Cup semi-final tie with the Hornets in 2003 and the memories of his time at the club.
There are more outlets than ever from which to purchase this season’s matchday magazine which retails at £4.
You can pre-order editions, and take out a subscription for the season from saintsmagazines.co.uk.
