Tadić scores in Serbia’s win over Israel

By SFC Media time Tue 31 May Club

Dušan Tadić came off the bench to score in Serbia’s 3-1 win over Israel in a friendly at Stadion Karađorđe on Tuesday night.

The Southampton man entered the action with just over 20 minutes remaining with the score at 1-1 with the hosts having taken a first half lead through Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanović.

Shortly into the second 45 Eran Zahavi equalised for Israel, but Tadić’s introduction to the action helped change the game.

He replaced Andrija Pavlović and, five minutes later, Serbia retook the lead through BATE’s Nemanja Milunović.

Then with two minutes remaining, Tadić grabbed a goal for himself with a shot from outside of the area, after Aleksandar Kolarov’s free-kick was blocked, to put the game out of reach for the visitors.

Serbia play Russia in Monaco on Sunday in another friendly game which Tadić will hope to feature in.
