Graziano Pellè has been named in the secondary Italy national squad ahead of Sunday’s friendly game against Scotland.

Southampton striker Pellè has been chosen by incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte ahead of the Italians’ 23-man squad submission for the European Championships next Tuesday.

In a new look Italy team Pellè will battle it out with Internazionale forward Éder, Torino’s Ciro Immobile, Napoli man Lorenzo Insigne, and Simone Zaza of Juventus for an attacking role in Conte’s side.

Italy will face Finland in their final warm-up game before they start their European Championship campaign against Belgium. Sweden and Republic of Ireland make up their group.

Pellè scored 14 times in all competitions for Saints in 2015/16 including 11 league strikes, taking his overall Southampton goals tally to 30.
