saintsfc.co.uk provides Southampton supporters making the trip to Leicester City on Sunday with a guide to King Power Stadium.
Address: King Power Stadium, Filbert Way, Leicester, LE2 7FL
Telephone: 0844 815 6000
Nickname: The Foxes
Colours: Blue and white
Southampton fans will be sitting in the north east corner of the King Power Stadium, sandwiched by Foxes supporters on either side. There will be televisions in the concourse area showing the game. Saints will be in their home strip.
Getting there by car
Take the M1 up to Junction 21 and head towards Leicester city centre on the A5460. Continue until, 200 yards after going under a railway bridge, you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn right onto Upperton Road before taking another right onto Filbert Street, from where it’ll be easy to reach the ground.
Car parking around the ground on matchdays is limited due to a number of ‘residents only’ schemes being in operation in the nearby streets, so free parking might not be available close by. You should be able to find a space further afield, or alternatively it costs £3 to park at Leicester Rugby Club, which is just ten minutes’ walk from the stadium.
Getting there by train
Leicester train station is about a mile and a half away from the home of the Foxes. The route from there to the King Power Stadium is signposted and takes about 25 minutes on foot.
Food and drink
The selection of snacks on offer inside the ground includes burgers (£4), hot dogs (£3.80), pies (£3.40) and baguettes or wraps (£3.20). Lager, bitter and cider are all priced at £3.70, whereas a bottle of Singha costs £3.
Southampton’s trip to the King Power Stadium has sold out.
