Koeman confident ahead of Leicester City trip

By SFC Media time Fri 01 Apr Club

Ronald Koeman believes Southampton have every chance of beating Leicester City, if they can show the same quality and spirit they displayed in the second half against Liverpool in their last match.

Saints memorably came from two goals down at half-time to beat the Reds 3-2 at St Mary's before the international break in a match Koeman had descried as "must-win" when it came to the team's European ambitions.

If his side can replicate that effort at King Power Stadium on Sunday then Koeman is confident they can upset the Premier League leaders.

"We are full of confidence," he told Southampton's official YouTube channel. "Of course, we know we have some difficult ones. That starts this Sunday. Leicester is playing for the title and that will be a very tough one, but we are Southampton. We can make it difficult to all the teams and we have a good record against good teams in having good results.

"Ok, we had a great win against Liverpool and if we show the same spirit and same quality as we showed in the second half then we can get a good result."
