Southampton duo José Fonte and Cédric played the full game for Portugal, as they beat Belgium 2-1 in a friendly match, in Leiria.
Having been unused subs in the 1-0 home defeat to Bulgaria last Friday, the pair were handed a chance in a match that had been relocated from Brussels following last week’s terror attacks.
Fonte and Cédric both played their part, as Portugal picked up an encouraging result ahead of UEFA EURO 2016.
Nani curled home the opener in the 20th minute, with Cristiano Ronaldo then heading in a João Mário cross five minutes before half time.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku pulled one back after the break for the visitors, but Fonte, Cédric and the rest of the Portugal backline held on after that to secure the win.
