International duty beckons for five Saints tonight

By SFC Media time Sat 26 Mar Club

The international action continues for Southampton’s players today, with five of them in line to feature for their countries.

Sadio Mané is with Senegal for the first of two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger.

Senegal will host their opponents, in Dakar (7pm GMT), before travelling to face them in Niamey on Tuesday.

Three Saints players could be in action when England Under-21s visit Switzerland for a UEFA EURO 2017 qualifier (7pm GMT).

James Ward-Prowse, who captains the side, is joined in the squad by Matt Targett and Jack Stephens for the trip to Thun.

Elsewhere, Fraser Forster is with the senior England team for their friendly away to Germany (7.45pm GMT).

Forster had been due to be joined by Saints teammate Ryan Bertrand for the trip to Berlin, but the left-back had to withdraw from the squad earlier this week due to injury.

In addition, Cuco Martina will be featuring in the early hours of tomorrow morning, as Curaçao host Dominican Republic in a Caribbean Cup qualifier (Midnight GMT).
