Davis collects November Player of the Month prize

Steven Davis has been voted by Saints supporters as the club's Player of the Month for November.

The midfielder polled 41.7% of the vote, beating Dušan Tadić, Virgil van Dijk and Maarten Stekelenburg to the prize.

Davis collected his trophy from supporter Jamie Gregory, who was chosen at random from the club's list of Season Ticket/Official Membership holders.

"I’m delighted to pick the award up," said the Northern Irishman.

"It’s always nice to win awards, and especially to receive one from the fans. It’s always nice to be recognised for your efforts with the type of player I am – I always give 100%."

Davis was especially pleased to have the chance to collect the award from one of the supporters who'd voted for him.

"I think that [interaction] is important because it can get a little bit lost with the way the game’s going," he added.

"Interaction between players and fans is always nice to see, and to get back that connection between them."

We'll be choosing a supporter to present December's award very shortly – to be in with a chance, simply sign up for Official Membership at tickets.saintsfc.co.uk now.
