Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways following defeat at Stoke City last weekend.

Saturday’s clash will see former boss Mauricio Pochettino return to the south coast for the first time since moving to White Hart Lane in the summer.

The reverse fixture saw Spurs run out 1-0 winners thanks to Christian Eriksen’s first-half strike back in October, with Sadio Mané missing a great chance in the second half to earn a share of the spoils.

Spurs currently sit one place and one point above Saints in the Barclays Premier League table following their win against Newcastle United last weekend.

Saints have won three out of three at St Mary’s in recent weeks, scoring five and conceding no goals in the process.

Toby Alderweireld looks set to be available for Saturday’s game, while Filip Djuričić is back in training and could be available. Victor Wanyama serves the second game of his two-match ban.

For Spurs, Kyle Walker looks set to miss out on the trip to St Mary’s but Hugo Lloris could return.

Mauricio Pochettino’s first season in charge of the club has seen Spurs reach the final of the Capital One Cup and the last 32 of the Europa League.

They were beaten 2-0 in the final of the Capital One Cup at Wembley by Chelsea, while Italian side Fiorentina knocked them out of the Europa League.

In the league, Spurs currently sit sixth, one point ahead of Saints and level with Liverpool having played a game more than Brendan Rodgers’s side.

On the road this season Spurs have performed well, picking up eight wins and three draws, while they have lost just one of their last four away fixtures.

Christian Eriksen, who scored the decider in the reverse fixture, and Harry Kane have been shining lights for Pochettino’s side, with Kane reaching 30 goals in all competitions thanks to his strike against Newcastle United last weekend.

Ronald Koeman said: “It’s a massive, massive game. We know our position in the table, they have one more point than we have. We focus on ourselves about the football way.

“For sure the fans also think about Mauricio coming back, but we focus about football. We like and we have to win the game because we like to play in Europe next season.”

Mauricio Pochettino said: "The most important thing is on the pitch. I think outside the game it's okay, it's an emotional game for me because I spend one year and a half in Southampton and it was a fantastic period for me.

"We expect a very tough game. Southampton are a very good team and have had a fantastic season. For both teams it is a very important three points."

Jonathan Moss will take charge of Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur at St Mary’s.

The 44 year-old, who has been a Premier League official since 2011, will oversee his 32nd game of the campaign this weekend.

Over the course of the season, Moss has handed out 110 yellow card and eight reds in total, including one in Saints’ 1-0 win at Swansea City back in September.

As well as the win at the Liberty Stadium, Moss has taken charge of Saints’ wins against Stoke City and Everton at St Mary’s. He also officiated the 3-2 FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace.

Moss’s last game in charge was Palace’s 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
