Schneiderlin helps France to friendly win

By SFC Media time Sun 29 Mar Club

Morgan Schneiderlin played 83 minutes for France as they comfortably beat Denmark 2-0 in a friendly in Saint-Etienne.

The midfielder played the full game as they lost 3-1 to Brazil on Thursday and the Southampton man was in from the start once again against the Danes.

France took an early lead through Alexandre Lacazette, as he fired home from Antoine Griezmann’s pass before Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud then made it 2-0 to the hosts just before half-time.

Nicklas Bendtner hit the post for Denmark as they looked for a route back into the game, but France were never really tested as they made up for the disappointing loss against Brazil with a convincing win.

Schneiderlin will now head back to Southampton ahead of the final eight games of the campaign, starting at Everton on Saturday.
