Jos Hooiveld has made an immediate impact since joining Millwall on loan until the end of the season.

The defender joined last Monday and went straight into Ian Holloway’s side for the 0-0 draw at home to Reading, before helping the Lions to another clean sheet in the 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Jack Stephens was unable to cap the extension of his loan deal with Swindon Town with all three points, as they lost 2-0 to Sheffield United.

Stephens and Saints teammate Jordan Turnbull both played 90 minutes, but were unable to prevent Jamie Murphy’s double sealing the win for the home side.

Artur Boruc was back in goal for Bournemouth as they beat Watford 2-0 on Friday night. The goalkeeper kept another clean sheet as the Cherries maintained their place at the top of the Championship.

Fellow goalkeeper Will Britt was not in action this weekend after Maidenhead United’s game against Concord Rangers was postponed due to bad weather.

Gaston Ramírez played the full 90 minutes as Hull City’s poor form continued with a 3-0 home defeat to Newcastle United at the KC Stadium.

Ramírez thought he had got an assist as Ahmed Elmohamady put home his free kick, but the latter had handled the ball and the goal was disallowed, before the visitors went on to win comfortably.
