Saints youngster Callum Slattery has been included in the England Under-16 side for February’s UEFA U16 Development Tournament at St. George’s Park.

Slattery and his teammates will face opposition from Switzerland, France and Slovakia in a four-team competition, as the squad continue their development under Steve Cooper.

The midfielder featured for Cooper’s side during the Victory Shield late last year, and will be hoping to build on his impressive performances at club level.

Slattery scored in the 2-1 win against West Ham United in the FA Youth Cup Third Round, while he also made his Under-21 debut in their win against Norwich City in the U21 Premier League Cup.

England kick-off the tournament against Switzerland on Monday 16th February, before taking on Slovakia two days later.

Their final game sees them take on France on Saturday 21st February.
