• Ryan Bertrand, who is unable to feature on Sunday, is on loan at St Mary’s from Chelsea.

• Fraser Forster and Nathaniel Clyne have played alongside Chelsea’s Gary Cahill for England.

• Saints winger Dušan Tadić is teammates with Branislav Ivanović and Nemanja Matić for the Serbian national team.

• Defender Toby Alderweireld is part of the Belgium national team setup along with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.

• Toby Alderweireld was a teammate of Felipe Luis, Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois at Atletico Madrid in Spain during the 2013/14 season.

• Saints midfielder Steven Davis played alongside Chelsea defender Gary Cahill for Aston Villa between 2004 and 2007.

• Emmanuel Mayuka helped Zambia beat Didier Drogba’s Ivory Coast 8-7 on penalties in the final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

• Saints duo Harrison Reed and Matt Targett have played with Chelsea’s Lewis Baker for England’s Under-20s this season.

• Saints boss Ronald Koeman worked with José Mourinho, the Chelsea manager, at Barcelona in Spain alongside Louis van Gaal.
